Q: How can I connect to your Counterstrike 1.6/Source and Quake 3 Arena Server ?
A: Well the easiest way is to click on the HLSW Links on the Games Main Site. If you don´t have HLSW you can of course add the Servers onto your Favourites in the specific Game by adding the Server URL or by typing the Command "/connect Server URL" on the Game Console, where Server URL is the specific Adress shown as HLSW link on the Games Main Site.
Q: How can I connect to your PvPGN Network ?
A: Well thats pretty easy. You need a Tool for Battle.net Games named BN Gateway Editor and for Westwood Games a Tool named XWISC.
Both Tools can be found in our Download Section. If you downloaded the Tools you simply start them and set the Host to deepirc.net (On the BN Gateway Editor you additionaly need to add the following to things: Name: DeepIRC and Zone: 0) and than just save the settings.
Now you should be able on Battle.net Games to select a new Gateway named DeepIRC. On Westwood Games you will get automaticly redirected to us.
Please note that on Westwood Games you can´t or better don´t need to register an Account. This is because on Westwood Games there is no way to query any Data related to a User Account.
Q: What things do I have to take care about when I connect to the PvPGN Network ?
A: First you need to have the latest updated Version of the Game you want to play.
The only Exception ist Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction. Here you need to have the Version 1.10 installed or get our Switcher including the 1.10 patch found on our Download Section, if you want to participate on Ladder Games.
Attention: As of now you can play with the latest Patch (v 1.11b) Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction on our PvPGN Realm.
Also for Warcraft 3 and the WC3 Expansion Pack you need the W3Loader which can be downloaded, too from our Download Section. You have to start the W3Loader before you try to connect to the PvPGN Network to be able to play.
Well when you connect the first time on the PvPGN Network you have to register an Account for Battle.net Games. Please note that you have to use a real Email Adress in case you need to recover your Account Password. On Westwood Games as described before there is due to technical issues no Account Registration needed. Simply put in a Name and a Password you want to use for it.
Also please take care that you can´t mix Battle.net and Westwood Accounts, so if you want to play Games of both Services you need to seperate Accounts. Please note that on Westwood Games there is no Ladder, therefore there is no Game listed on the Stats Page from Westwood.
Q: I found someone who is cheating, what can I do ?
A: Cheaters are unfortunately found nearly everywhere as everybody knows. Well our Gameservers including the PvPGN Network have a few Features to locate Cheats and block them or ban the User who is using them. Unfortunately this doesn´t work always perfect and can´t be used on some cheats, thats why we need your assistance.
If you found someone cheating, please make Screenshots or something else that shows how the User is cheating and send us from the Contactform with the related Links and the Users Account Data a notice so we can take care about it. As sendto Option please select DeepGames IRC Services on the Contactform.
Footnote: The same applies to People that are disturbing or say misplaced things such as swearing, violent things, etc.
